The villagers from Nkwenda ward-Kyerwa district in Kagera region have suggested that the New Tanzania Constitution should declare that the agricultural sector is the backbone of the nation.

The Nkwenda inhabitants said that when they were giving out their opinions recently on the ongoing New Constitution meetings which collect people?s views.
?I want our agricultural activities to be recognized by the new constitution. The Constitution should openly say that this is the backbone of Tanzania.? said one of the villagers.
Another villager went further by blaming the government that it does not act responsibly to agricultural sector because has not been totally recommended by the constitution hence the new constitution should recommend that.
?The Ministers do not help agriculture because no one to blame them. This constitution should force them by saying agriculture is the national backbone and should be given the first priority.? Another old woman said.
