The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas fell marginally to US$ 105.78/per barrel (bbl) on 26.07.2013. This was lower than the price of US$ 105.86/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 25.07.2013.

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price declined to Rs 6231.50/bbl on 26.7.2013 as compared to Rs 6239.39/bbl on 25.07.2013. This was due fall in price in dollar terms and also because of? rupee appreciation. Rupee dollar exchange rate on 26.07.2013 at Rs 58.91/US$ against Rs 58.94/US$ on previous trading day of 25.07.2013.?
